Autumn Chabana flower arranging workshop

$25.00

Thanks for your interest. The workshop is filled.

Flowers for tea, called Chabana, are simple and unassuming, like those that grow by the side of the road, or ephemeral like those that grow in the shade of the woods. Colors tend to be soft and blossoms small and delicate. Each flower is enjoyed for its distinct color, shape, size, and seasonal bloom. We arrange them as they growing wild in the field.

Please join us in the Tivoli Tea Garden and Tea House for a hands-on workshop on how to arrange flowers in this way. There are an abundance of autumn flowers growing wild in the fields: Black Eyed Susan, Loosestrife, Queen Anne’s Lace, grasses are at their peak with tassels blowing in the wind. We’ll use those and others from Bettina’s garden. Not every flower is suitable for Chabana and we’ll learn which ones are preferred.

Space is limited.

For reference, Bettina’s book A Tea Garden in Tivoli will also be available for sale, either here online or at the workshop. It gives detailed instruction on Chabana.
